A little about the Luthier

Growing up the son of a carpenter meant tools in hand from the beginning. Later I followed a passion for art which lead me to study at the Ontario College of Art + Design, and then into a rewarding career in graphic design. The early lessons around woodworking were not lost however, and in 2002 a house was bought, renovated and a woodworking shop set up. My first acoustic guitar was completed in 2003, and I haven't looked back.

A little more about my approach

Andres Segovia once said "The guitar is a small orchestra. It is polyphonic. Every string is a different colour, a different voice." This quote has focused the philosophy of my guitar building from day one. The guitar must be as complex, efficient and dynamic, as it is a pleasure to play.

The guitar should inspire the musician, and deliver the the best realization of his or her creative vision. Fit and finish must be perfect for a clean and simple aesthetic that is timeless.
